Jadon Sancho will not be moving to Saudi Arabia as originally anticipated.
The transfer window in Saudi Arabia closed on Thursday at 10pm, leaving Sancho still a member of Man Utd. It has been confirmed that he will continue to train and communicate with the coaching staff during the international break, with everyone involved dedicated to helping him regain his top form.
Recently, Sancho had been dropped from the squad due to subpar performances in training. According to Ten Hag, this was the reason behind his absence from the Emirates Stadium match. At Manchester United, it is expected that players consistently perform at their best level every day. This means choices must be made regarding who plays in key positions on any given day.
In response to Ten Hag’s comments during a post-match press conference, Sancho took to X social media platform on Sunday evening and issued a statement denying accusations made against him. He claimed that these claims were entirely false.
Overall, Jadon Sancho remains a valued member of Manchester United’s team and efforts are being made by all parties involved to support his development and success moving forward. Sancho added: “All I want to do is to play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team.”
Despite the speculation following the public fallout, the England international will not be moving to Saudi Arabia with the Pro League transfer window now closed.
