A powerful header by Olivier Giroud secured AC Milan’s first Champions League victory of the season, propelling the Italian side to a win over Paris St-Germain in Group F.
The winning goal came from the French forward, who headed in a cross from Theo Hernandez early in the second half.
PSG had initially taken the lead with Milan Skriniar scoring by heading in at the back post from a Marquinhos flick-on.
Rafael Leao swiftly equalized for AC Milan, executing an overhead kick from close range after Giroud’s initial shot was parried by the PSG goalkeeper.
As a result of this victory, PSG now holds the second position in the group with six points, trailing behind Borussia Dortmund, the group leaders who defeated Newcastle earlier on Tuesday. AC Milan is currently in third place with five points, one more than Eddie Howe’s side.
AC Milan’s victory ensures they remain in contention to progress to the knockout stages as they host Dortmund on November 28.

The match marked the return of former goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to the San Siro for the first time since his controversial transfer to PSG two years ago. Donnarumma was met with boos from the home fans, who also threw fake money towards him.
AC Milan displayed significant improvement in this Champions League campaign compared to their previous performances. Gianluigi Donnarumma was forced to make impressive saves from free-kicks by Hernandez and Fikayo Tomori. However, the evening ended on a sour note for the hosts as Christian Pulisic was substituted after sustaining a hamstring injury in the closing stages of the match.
