Rasmus Hojlund continued his impressive scoring streak in the Premier League, helping Manchester United secure a hard-fought victory against Luton Town at Kenilworth Road.
Despite a determined performance from the home side, United is still in contention for a top-four finish with four consecutive league wins under their belt.
After initially struggling to find the back of the net, Hojlund has been on fire lately. The £72m summer signing from Atalanta wasted no time making an impact in this game, scoring twice within the first seven minutes. His first goal came just 37 seconds into the match when he capitalized on an error from Amari’i Bell and neatly rounded goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski to find the net. He then showed great instincts by diverting Alejandro Garnacho’s shot into goal for his second.

Luton Town responded admirably to going behind and provided stiff resistance throughout the match. Carlton Morris gave them hope with a well-taken header, injecting some life into their performance and putting pressure on United’s defense. The visitors were dealt a blow when Luke Shaw had to be substituted due to injury before halftime, while Harry Maguire and Casemiro also did not return after the break.
Despite Luton’s spirited efforts in the second half, it was Manchester United who had better opportunities to score. Kaminski made several impressive saves to deny Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, and prevent Hojlund from completing his hat-trick.
