The winning goal was scored by Casemiro in the 89th minute, who expertly flicked home Bruno Fernandes’ free-kick. However, there was a delay as Video Assistant Referee (VAR) reviewed the play for a potential offside during the build-up.

Ten Hag, speaking on BBC Match of the Day, emphasized their consistency by stating that they have only suffered one defeat in 2024.
