Declan Rice has escaped a serious injury and might be available for Arsenal’s upcoming Premier League match against Bournemouth on Saturday.
Rice underwent examinations on Monday after experiencing discomfort in his back during the north London derby on Sunday, which resulted in him being substituted at half-time.
Scans have revealed that the issue is not a major one, although Rice still feels some discomfort and is unlikely to participate in Wednesday’s Carabao Cup game against Brentford.
Throughout this week, Rice will continue to be evaluated leading up to the trip to Bournemouth. The same goes for Leandro Trossard, who missed the draw with Tottenham due to a minor muscle problem.
This development indicates that Rice should be fit for Arsenal’s clash against title rivals Manchester City on Sunday, October 8th.
Since joining Arsenal from West Ham this summer for a club-record fee of £105m, Rice has started every game and even scored a late winning goal against Manchester United earlier this month.
