Benjamin Pavard Completes Transfer to Inter

Benjamin Pavard Completes Transfer to Inter

Inter have completed the signing of Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard.

Inter have negotiated with Bayern over the past few weeks and have clearly identified Pavard as the player to reinforce in defense.

The two clubs have reportedly agreed a fee worth around €30 million plus €2 million in add-ons for Pavard.

A key factor in the move was Pavard’s insistence on joining Inter.

He now signs a 5-year contract with Inter.

This summer, one of Inter’s priorities has been to secure a replacement for defender Milan Skriniar who left at the end of his contract, joining Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.

Skriniar’s departure leaves a big hole on the right side of Inter’s defense. The loss of veteran defender Danilo D’Ambrosio, also at the end of his contract, only heightened the need for Inter to sign a player who can strengthen the team.

Inter have settled on Pavard as a replacement and he has completed his move from Bayern.

Pavard, who joined Bayern in 2019, won the Bundesliga title four times.

He also won the 2018 World Cup with France in Russia.

Inter have kicked off their Serie A season impressively, winning their first two matches.

He also won the Club World Cup, European Super Cup and German Cup during a Bayern career in which he made 163 appearances and scored 12 goals.
