To fill Mourinho’s position until the end of this season, Daniele de Rossi will step up. The club icon spent his entire professional career at Roma after coming through their youth academy. De Rossi made an impressive 616 appearances for Roma’s senior team between 2001 and 2019.

Following his retirement from playing football in 2020, De Rossi had a brief managerial stint at Serie B club SPAL. Unfortunately for him though, it concluded after just seventeen matches as he was sacked last February.
