Gabriel Jesus to miss out during the start of the season after undergoing knee surgery.
The 26 year old has been having problems with his knee after he succumbed to injury.
He missed three months of last season after suffering a knee injury at the World Cup.
Arteta confirmed that Gabriel had a little procedure on his knee. Though not major, he’s set to miss for a few weeks. It’s not something major but he’s going to be out for a few weeks.
“It’s a big blow because we had him back to his best, especially with the way he played against Barcelona and he was in good condition but unfortunately we lost him.
“We had to look at it and we had to make a decision and the best one is to protect the player and get him back as quickly as possible. We decided to do it.” Arteta added.
The Gunners boss is however adamant that Jesus’ injury will make no difference to his transfer plans.
