Jordan Henderson wants Premier League return

Jordan Henderson is eager to make a comeback to the Premier League in the current month.

However, his current Saudi club, Al Ettifaq, is not willing to let go of the England midfielder without a substantial fee.

In July, Henderson made a highly publicized move to Saudi Arabia to join forces with his former Liverpool teammate Steven Gerrard. Gerrard had taken up the role of manager at Al Ettifaq just a few weeks prior. The transfer cost Al Ettifaq approximately £13 million and rumors suggest that Henderson receives a weekly wage of around £350,000.

Unfortunately for both Henderson and Al Ettifaq, their on-field performances have been less than impressive lately. The team has not secured any victories in the Saudi Pro League since late October and currently finds itself languishing in eighth place – 28 points behind league leaders Al Hilal.

Recognizing that Henderson has struggled to settle into life at the club, management at Al Ettifaq understands that he may be exploring other options for his career. Any potential move would need to be agreeable for all parties involved.

Adding another twist to this story is Ian Foster’s recent departure from his position as assistant manager at Al Ettifaq. Foster has since been appointed as manager of Championship side Plymouth Argyle.
