Jurgen Klopp has received a combination of positive and negative updates regarding the condition of Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker’s injury.
Fortunately, the injury is not as severe as initially feared, but it will still sideline him for a minimum of two weeks.
During Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Manchester City, the Brazilian international appeared to suffer from a hamstring issue. However, he managed to complete the match despite this setback.
Jürgen Klopp has confirmed both Alisson Becker and Diogo Jota are facing spells on the sidelines due to injury. ⤵️

Alisson is anticipated to miss five upcoming matches due to his injury. There is hope that he will be able to make his return in time for the match against Manchester United on December 17th. This particular game will be televised live on Sky Sports.
On another note, there was also an injury sustained by Portuguese forward Diogo Jota during the same game against Man City. Unfortunately, his prognosis does not look as promising as Alisson’s.
“Both players are currently unavailable,” stated Klopp. “Alisson’s situation seems slightly less severe compared to Jota’s. We need more time before making any definitive decisions regarding their availability for future matches.”
As a result of these injuries, Alisson will be unable to participate in Thursday night’s Europa League match against LASK. The Liverpool manager expects that both players will require additional recovery time beyond this week and may not be fit enough for subsequent games immediately following their absence from Thursday night’s fixture.”
