Jurgen Klopp is advocating for a replay of Liverpool’s match against Tottenham following the erroneous VAR decision that disallowed Luis Diaz’s goal for offside.
However, it’s understood that the Premier League maintains its stance against considering a replay.
Klopp expressed, “It’s crucial that we address this situation appropriately, given the significance of football. The individuals involved, including the on-field referee, linesman, fourth official, and especially the VAR in this case, did not intend to err. It was a clear mistake, and there could have been resolutions afterward.”
He added, “While some may disagree, I’m not emphasizing this as Liverpool’s manager but as a football enthusiast. The most appropriate resolution, in my opinion, should be a replay. That’s the way it should be, although it’s unlikely to occur.”

Diaz’s goal was disallowed for offside, but video replays revealed he was actually onside. Unfortunately, Darren England, the VAR, mistakenly believed that the on-field decision had already been to award the goal, which led to his communication to Simon Hooper, the referee, that the check was complete.
