Kane to leave Spurs?

The Englishman wants to join Bayern Munich this summer

Bayern Munich have submitted a new offer of €80M + bonuses for Harry Kane. Spurs rejected Bayern’s opening offer of £60m plus add-ons for Kane last month, the club deeming it too low for a player they value at at least £100m despite the fact his contract expires next summer and he has shown little sign of wanting to sign an extension, leaving Spurs at risk of losing their record goalscorer on a free transfer.

Kane has held positive talks with Bayern over a move to the Bundesliga champions and they remain keen to sign the 29-year-old England captain. Daniel Levy, the Tottenham chairman, is expected to stand firm in his desire to get £100m as a minimum for Kane but Bayern hope their improved offer, allied to the player’s desire to join them, will lead to a softening in stance by one of English football’s most notorious negotiators.

Harry Kane has been with Tottenham since 2004. The English striker is the record goalscorer in Spurs’ history with 280 goals, and is a 3-time Premier League goalscorer, but does not have a single trophy with the team from North London.
