Real Madrid’s Carlo Ancelotti Shuts Down Kylian Mbappe Summer Move Rumors

Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid, has definitively dismissed any possibility of signing Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

Mbappe’s contract extension negotiations with PSG have hit a standstill, fueling speculation of a potential move to La Liga.

With concerns over losing the France captain for free next year, PSG appeared open to considering offers for him.

Ancelotti stated, “No, I rule it out 100%,” when questioned about a potential deal for Mbappe, further emphasizing that their squad is finalized and focused on the upcoming season.

Amid his contract standoff, Mbappe trained separately from the PSG first team, but he has since rejoined after “very constructive and positive talks,” as described by the club.

In July, PSG granted Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia permission to discuss terms with Mbappe, backed by a world-record £259 million bid.

PSG’s chairman, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, remains resolute in not allowing Mbappe to depart without compensation. Speculation points toward a likely agreement that extends Mbappe’s contract by a year, aligning with the original plan. This extension would span until 2025, potentially enabling a transfer to Real Madrid next summer.

Although he was absent in PSG’s season opener against Lorient, Mbappe made an impact by converting a penalty as a substitute in their 1-1 draw with Toulouse last week.

Since his arrival at PSG in 2017, initially on loan from Monaco before a £165.7 million transfer, Mbappe has become a prolific scorer, setting a club record with 213 goals in 261 games.
