Jurgen Klopp has expressed that Liverpool has moved past their loss to Tottenham, following a 2-0 victory over Union Saint-Gilloise in the Europa League, which saw Ryan Gravenberch score his debut goal for the club.
Gravenberch took advantage of a mistake by Union goalkeeper Anthony Moris to net a close-range goal just before halftime, following a missed opportunity by Darwin Nunez. Diogo Jota, coming off the bench, secured the win with a stoppage-time goal, helping Liverpool put the VAR controversy from Saturday’s match behind them.
When questioned about Jota’s reaction to his red card over the weekend, Klopp commented, “How should he deal with it? I knew it would be difficult. That game is long ago, and we are over that, and Diogo is over it as well. We are not children.”

Despite a less than stellar performance on a relatively quiet night at Anfield, Liverpool managed to secure the win against the leaders of the Belgian league. They now lead Group E with maximum points from their first two matches. French side Toulouse is in second place with four points, followed by Union and LASK Linz.
