Spain wins the Women’s World Cup for the first time

Spain beats England in the Women’s World Cup, 2023.

This was a final between two of the best teams in the tournament, which made a really intriguing and entertaining encounter.

Prior to this tournament, Spain had never won a knockout round in a major tournament.

Spain were simply the better team of the day, which will be disappointing for England.

England failed to keep it tight in the back, giving Spain a chance to exploit.

With the changes in the second-half, the Lionesses failed to attack the weakness of Spain, and that’s what ultimately led to their loss.

Despite the defeat, England can hold their heads up high having done the country proud with their superb tournament down under.
