Trent Alexander-Arnold was Liverpool’s hero in the match against Fulham

Trent Alexander-Arnold emerged as the hero for Liverpool in their thrilling match against Fulham at Anfield, securing a dramatic 4-3 victory with his 88th-minute goal.

Liverpool managed to take the lead twice during an exhilarating first half, but Fulham swiftly responded on each occasion. It was Alexander-Arnold’s impressive free-kick that found its way into the net off Bernd Leno (20), only for Harry Wilson (24) to bring Fulham back level.

Alexis Mac Allister then delivered a spectacular strike (38) to restore Liverpool’s advantage, yet VAR intervened and awarded Kenny Tete’s equalizer just before halftime (45+3).

The second half saw Liverpool pushing hard for a winner, with Darwin Nunez denied by the crossbar. However, they were dealt a blow in the 80th minute when substitute Bobby Decordova-Reid headed home Tom Cairney’s cross.

Nevertheless, it was Liverpool who had the final say as Wataru Endo (87) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (88), who had also scored their equalizer against Manchester City last week, secured two goals in quick succession to complete an impressive late comeback.

Klopp’s team secures a dramatic victory, allowing them to stay competitive in the race for the Premier League title. They climb to second place in the standings, overtaking Man City before their match against Tottenham. However, they still trail league leaders Arsenal by two points.

On the other hand, Fulham experiences disappointment as they suffer their seventh loss of the season and drop to 14th place in the rankings.
